Turn N Burn Logistics · Evans, GA
More Than a Business.
This Is Our Mission.
For Jeremy and Stephanie Coghlan, Down Syndrome awareness isn’t a tagline on a truck. It’s the reason they built Turn N Burn the way they did — with heart, with purpose, and with a commitment to using every job as an opportunity to make the world a little more inclusive.
“HE’S THE GREATEST KID EVER — SO KIND AND LOVING.”
— Jeremy & Stephanie CoghlanPerfectly Created.
Never an Apology Needed.
In 2014, our lives changed in the most beautiful way. Chase was born, and soon after, we received a Down Syndrome diagnosis that came quickly — along with a brief but eye-opening stay in the NICU. Those early days were a lot to navigate, and they shaped everything about who we are as a family.
Over the years, we’ve learned what a lot of DS families already know. People don’t always know how to react. You get the occasional “I’m sorry” — the well-meaning but misplaced sympathy of someone who sees a diagnosis instead of a person. We’ve never needed that. Not once. Chase was perfectly and wonderfully made, exactly as God intended.
What we’ve always wanted — what we’re asking for every time we talk about Chase or put Down Syndrome awareness on our trucks — is simple: understanding. Awareness. A little education. And the chance to show people that a kid with Down Syndrome is a kid with a full, rich, joyful life ahead of them.
Chase is proof of that every single day. He’s kind. He’s loving. He walks into a room and doesn’t know a stranger. He makes everyone around him better just by being there.
Turn N Burn is in the business of moving heavy equipment across Evans, Georgia and the Augusta CSRA. Every job site we pull into, every road we drive, every contractor we serve — that's a chance to put Down Syndrome awareness in front of people who might not think about it every day. We don't do this for recognition. We do it because Chase deserves to live in a world that understands and celebrates people like him. And we're going to use every mile we drive to help get there.
What We Want
People to Understand.
Down Syndrome is a chromosomal condition that occurs when a person is born with an extra copy of chromosome 21. It’s one of the most common chromosomal conditions in the United States — and it doesn’t define the person. It’s simply one part of who they are.
People with Down Syndrome are students, employees, athletes, artists, friends, and family members. They contribute meaningfully to their communities. They have full, purposeful lives. What they need from the rest of us is not sympathy — it’s inclusion, respect, and the same opportunities that everyone else gets.
That’s what we’re working toward every time Turn N Burn talks about Chase, rolls out on a job, or participates in World Down Syndrome Day.
It's one of the most common chromosomal conditions — and yet awareness and inclusion still have a long way to go.
The date represents the triplication (trisomy) of chromosome 21. Rock your craziest socks and celebrate.
Wearing mismatched, bright, or crazy socks on March 21st is the international sign of DS awareness. Put them on. Show up. Spread the word.
With the right support and opportunities, individuals with Down Syndrome lead full, independent, and meaningful lives. That's what inclusion looks like in action.

World Down Syndrome Day
March 21st — #LotsOfSocks
Every March 21st, the global Down Syndrome community comes together to celebrate, advocate, and spread awareness. The date was chosen to represent the triplication of chromosome 21 — Trisomy 21. The tradition of wearing bright, mismatched socks started as a playful nod to how chromosomes “look like socks when paired up.”
On March 21st, the Coghlan family celebrates Chase and every member of the Down Syndrome community in Evans, GA and beyond. Rock your socks. Post them. Share them. Make some noise for the people who deserve it.
Wear your craziest socks. Share a photo. Tag us. Help Turn N Burn bring Down Syndrome awareness to Evans, GA and the entire Augusta CSRA.
